Job Advert SummaryRand Water is currently looking for an Industrial Inspector to conduct investigations and inspections of industrial effluents discharged into municipal sewerage
system
Minimum RequirementsMinimum Education: A three Year National Diploma in Environmental Management, Water Care
and/or Analytical ChemistryMinimum Experience: At least minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in industrial effluent monitoring and
inspectionComputer literate and proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPointIn possession of a valid driver’s licence and willing to drive long hours
Primary DutiesThe incumbent will be responsible for the inspection and monitoring of industrial effluent
discharged into sewerage systemTaking samples of such effluent for chemical analysis into laboratory and monitor high effluent
industriesAssist the Bulk Sanitation Technologist to calculate assessed tariff charges for the
municipalitiesPlan, co-ordinates and liaises with industries, municipal departments, consultants and
government departments.
